Some Recent PR Blogger News
Here's a quick mention of some PR blogger news that caught my eye:
Ike Pigott is leaving blogging, at least for now. His Accentuate the Positive, 2.0 will be missed, but he's putting his blog on ice because he's starting a new position that'll keep him quite busy for the foreseeable future. Ike's the new Communications and Government Relations Director for the American Red Cross, Southeast Service Area. That means he'll be responsbile for 116 chapters in five states -- including Florida. What a fantastic opportunity.
Josh Hallett received the Member of the Year award from the Florida Public Relations Association. Great recognition. By the way, now's the time to sign up for BlogOrlando, which Josh is co-hosting with Rollins College on September 22-24 (the actual conference date is Friday, September 22, with other events scheduled around that). I'll be there, so come join the fun.
Kami Huyse points us to this month's PRSA’s Strategist magazine that features three articles about blogs and the blogosphere (read Kami's insightful analysis here). Several PR bloggers are quoted in the articles, and they each offer their own unique view, so have a look. Strategist's first article is In the blossoming PR blogosphere, everyone has something to say. Should you join the conversation?, the second, which Kami wrote, is The blog divide: Women underrepresented, leaving room for growth, and the third one is The Buzz on Blogs.

Thanks for the mention -- and give me a shout from time to time. I may not be blogging, but I still have ideas...
