Humor Links 7.25.06 (and some serious whining)

When you're feeling lousy, taking stomach-shredding antibiotics, your IMs get ignored... and you're obviously whiny, the only thing left to do is post another Humor Links. It certainly can't hurt.

• 32 worst lyrics of all times (Boston Phoenix, 6.8.06, via Top 10 Sources). Lots of good stuff here, such as the "there were plants and birds and rocks ad things" lyrics to America's A Horse With No Name... "What, he got tired? Rocks and things? Try a f*****' cactus."
• Blogging during the dog days of Summer (Canuckflack, 7.17.06, via Mutually Inclusive PR). Brains go to mush.
• The Condimentary Preferences of Drosophila (A Somewhat old, But Capricious Handbag, 7.19.06, via A Blog Around The Clock). Anyone who has spent any time in academia will enjoy this spoof.
• On Follow-Up Calls (How to Write Screenplays. Badly., 7.19.06). For everyone still dreaming about making it big.   
• How to make captive consumers sick with advertising (Scatterbox by Steven Silvers, 7.20.06). "Just scratching the surface of the hostage-experience economy." Love it.  
• Map That Campus VIII (The Daily Transcript, 7.21.06). What really smart postdoctoral fellows do for fun. Contrast that with the more pedestrian fun us communications types usually go for.
• My own Google Fight.
